Professional Lactation Consultations
An Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant will assist you with all aspects of breastfeeding. We will answer your questions, listen to your concerns and provide you with information and techniques to facilitate a wonderful breastfeeding experience. During a consult we will weigh your baby before and after breastfeeding to verify milk transfer, check your baby’s latch, suck and position. In addition to the time we spend together, we will communicate with your doctors by sending them a formal report in the mail to inform them of your visit, the outcome and any recommendations.
OFFICE CONSULTS: $60.00
HOME VISITS: $115.00*
*Additional charges may apply to areas that require more driving.

Does my insurance cover this fee?
The visit must be paid by the client; you will receive a formal report in the mail after your visit that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

How long do I have to wait to get an appointment?
When you call to schedule a private lactation consultation we will most likely be able to see you the same day or next day.  We know that babies don't have schedules so we are usually only booked one day in advance.

The Early Days of Breastfeeding: Your Questions Answered
The following questions are designed to help us tell whether you are off to a successful start with breastfeeding. Answer these questions when your infant is 4-6 days old. If you choose any answers in the right column, call your Pediatrician for advice. You may also contact us to have any questions answered or to schedule a private lactation consultation.
