Childbirth Preparation Classes
It’s a birthday, a day in your life to be experienced and enjoyed. A day to be flexible mentally and truly informed about birth. Childbirth classes are taught by experienced and highly recommended members of the San Diego community. Maturity, knowledge and researched information will be of value to you, so your birth will be a very rewarding experience.

What is a Doula or Labor Support Person?
Doula or Labor Support Person is someone who stays with you and your partner throughout the labor. A comforting, supporting woman who offers physical, emotional and knowledgeable encouragement during labor and afterwards. We are not quite sure why, however many randomized and controlled studies show the presence of a Doula reduces the use of medical intervention and increases the birth mother's satisfaction with their mate in the weeks after the delivery.
How does that work, hiring a Doula?
A labor support person usually does a home or office interview prior to you choosing her. She comes to your home, or to the hospital when you would like her to join you in the laboring process, stays until the birthday has been accomplished and sometimes helps with breastfeeding. The support person usually does one in home visit after delivery. |
