Coldcalm and Breastfeeding

Women that have babies and are nursing can get sick too, it's true. But the question is, which medicines would be okay to take while breastfeeding? Well, I'm going to fill you in on some of the meds that you can take.

One is called Coldcalm. It's by Boiron, who also make Oscillococcinum and Chestal (for kids). You can use any of those products, even while nursing.

You can also use any Tylenol product, just like you can while pregnant. Another recommended brand is Zicam. They are all safe while breastfeeding.

You can also, of course, use natural remedies. Things that are herbal. Before doing anything, though, if you want to be cautious, check with your doctor and they can give you the best idea of what you can safely take while nursing to get better.

  1. I know a dentist fort mill may not be the best person to ask about breastfeeding but when I learned while at the clinic earlier that Tylenol is not safe for breastfeeding, I still reckon he knows what he's talking about. After all, he's still a doctor, right?

    1. Wrong Tylenol is perfectly safe while breastfeeding. A dentist has absolutely no training in breastfeeding and would have no clue what is actually safe.
